VKDMR Network

Over the past decade the VK DMR network has been used by amateur radio operators to establish contacts between youth members, using dedicated talk groups over the JOTA weekend.

As you maybe aware, the VK DMR has recently transitioned from the IPCS2 server to a new IPCS3 server, specifically configured for amateur radio operations. The VK DMR working group has agreed to again provide the JOTA talk groups.

Talk groups TG30 to TG39 will active on the new VK DMR IPSC3 server, from Friday 16th to Monday 19th October 2026. TG30 will configured as a calling channel, and TG31 to TG39 configured as chat (TAC) channels. A Discord channel has been established to allow JOTA amateur radio operators to liaise directly with the VK DMR Working Group. The Working Group is keen to develop a coordinated approach for JOTA, catering for both repeater and hotspot users.

The VK-DMR Network will have Time Slot 1 available for JOTA, with Talk Groups 30 to 39.

TG30 is enabled to put calls out and then move to another Talk Group – TG31 to 39 to have a conversation.

These Talk Groups are user activated so all you need to do is PTT your DMR radio and you will be linked.

Brandmeister DMR Network

Brandmeister DMR has the following Talk Groups set aside for JOTA:
